Chrome, the maker of rugged messenger bags and apparel, faced the common growing-pains of a multi-channel retailer: integrating eCommerce orders, managing inventory across multiple warehouses and retail locations, and achieving UPC compliance for accurate stock control. To address this they implemented Acctivate’s inventory management solution, including its web store interface, multi-location warehouse functionality, and mobile/barcoding capabilities.
Acctivate tied online sales into a single system, enabled multiple-warehouse organization, and introduced mobile order picking and UPC scanning; as a result Chrome achieved UPC compliance, saw more accurate shipments and real-time inventory deductions at sale, and improved warehouse efficiency and customer service (Acctivate now serves as the customer-service front end for order inquiries).
