Prioritizing Equipment Repair and Replacement with Integrated Healthcare Technology Management

The Healthcare System, a Delaware-based network of private, non-profit hospitals serving the Mid-Atlantic (including two hospitals with more than 1,200 beds, 52,928 admissions and 196,656 emergency visits), was hampered by a decade-old healthcare technology management (HTM) system that lacked reporting and analytics. Combining foundational and transactional data was nearly impossible—running granular reports (for example, aged defibrillators with specific failures) required manual scrubbing of hundreds of devices and took days, preventing Clinical Engineering from quickly prioritizing repairs and replacements.

The organization implemented Accruent Connectiv (a ServiceNow-based HTM solution) to centralize data, rapidly create dashboards, and integrate with ECRI, PartsSource, Kronos and Flexera, making it easy to identify and correct data errors.
