A Accruent Case Study
The University of Regina, a public university in Saskatchewan, Canada, was struggling with an end-of-life facilities system that had been built for nuclear energy rather than higher education. Before adopting Accruent’s FAMIS 360, much of its maintenance data was still handled on paper, creating administrative burden, data errors, and limited visibility for finance departments requesting work.
Accruent implemented FAMIS 360 with modules for work management, asset management, procurement, inventory, timecards, schedules, mobile, and inspections. The result was faster technician response in the field, about a 20% reduction in inventory bins, improved asset data accuracy, better reporting and audit readiness, and stronger accountability—helping the university prove staffing needs and support preventive maintenance more effectively.
