How The Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute used Meridian engineering document management for improved workflow organization and optimization

The Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute in Milan, Italy — the country’s leading orthopedic admissions hospital — undertook a €200M, 180,000 m² new-hospital development that required tracking thousands of technical documents across design, procurement, construction and as-built BIM modeling. The project faced strict timelines, complex multi-disciplinary coordination and a contracting requirement for automated, auditable approval workflows demanding accuracy, transparency and security.

To meet these needs the project team selected Accruent’s Meridian, implemented by partner One Team Srl, to manage dynamic publication and approval, formal verification activities and tendering workflows. Meridian created dedicated data rooms and personalized workflows that supported about 80 concurrent users; in the first six months roughly 5,000 documents were uploaded, revised, traced and approved. The solution improved document tracking and time management, provided targeted training during rollout, and reduced errors while saving resources.
