A Accruent Case Study
Sund & Bælt, a Copenhagen-based operator of major Northern European infrastructure including bridges, roads, rail and ferry ports, struggled with an overwhelming volume of design and as-built documentation—about 1 million pages and 60,000 CAD drawings—which made finding the right drawings slow (sometimes taking four hours) and hampered oversight of outsourced maintenance, inspections and change history.
The company implemented Accruent Meridian, consolidating three databases and integrating with IBM Maximo while adding workflows, redline/markup/compare and electronic approvals. As a result, staff now retrieve correct drawings in minutes, manage the full as-built archive centrally, streamline engineering changes, ensure asset data quality, and improve collaboration and handover with maintenance contractors.
