How SSR Mining Streamlined Global Collaboration for the Copler Sulfide Expansion Project

SSR Mining, a multi‑jurisdictional gold mining company and Türkiye’s largest gold producer, launched the $700M Çöpler Sulfide Expansion Project (ÇSEP) in 2015 to extend mine life by 20 years. The project required tight global collaboration among owners, internal teams and contractors, but SSR lacked a unified document management system — creating risk from scattered contracts, drawings and legacy operations data and making a single source of truth critical for successful construction and handover.

SSR implemented RedEye to centralize ÇSEP and legacy data into one repository, capturing more than 33,000 files and digitally recording over 10,000 tagged pieces of equipment with detailed metadata. The system cut duplicates by 69% and reduced search time by 95%, enabled two document controllers to manage the entire project, supported mobile access and vendor uploads, and provided customizable workflows and vital operational intelligence that improved handover, maintenance safety and ongoing trust in the data.
