How COVRA uses Meridian to safely and efficiently manage operational assets and related engineering data to comply with the Dutch Nuclear Energy Act

COVRA, the Netherlands’ central organization for radioactive waste, manages aboveground storage and stewardship of waste for at least 100 years and oversees 28,000 assets and 55,000 documents. Bound by the Dutch Nuclear Energy Act, COVRA needed to replace a decade-old in-house TABS application with standard systems to better handle as-built engineering data, document control, asset management and work permits while meeting strict regulatory oversight.

COVRA implemented Accruent Meridian for engineering information and Ultimo for maintenance, integrating the systems for one-click access to up-to-date technical documentation. Meridian provides version and change control, KKS-based classification and powerful search, centralizing engineering data so inspectors and staff see the correct document version. The result: improved compliance, faster document retrieval, streamlined engineering and maintenance workflows, and higher-quality asset information.
