A Accruent Case Study
BASF, the world’s leading chemical company, faced a data-handover challenge at its Nijehaske site in the Netherlands, where 158 employees manage 800 process functions and over 6,000 instruments under strict regulatory requirements (NEN 3140, Seveso, Atex, ISO 14001). Keeping as-built asset information synchronized with changing engineering records was time-consuming and risked inconsistencies between Operations and Engineering.
BASF integrated Ultimo maintenance management with Meridian engineering information management to create a single source of truth: technical documents are linked directly to assets and maintained centrally, giving users real-time access to more than 20,000 documents. The integration produced identical asset and document records across systems, improved regulatory compliance and operational visibility, increased maintenance and engineering efficiency, reduced management costs, and lowered total cost of ownership.
