Amtrol‑Alfa | Worthington Industries is a leading manufacturer of welded steel pressure tanks (LPG, refrigerant and technical gases), producing over 110 million cylinders and serving 100 countries. Facing ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements for rigorous document control, the company needed a flexible system to manage and search drawings and documents across formats (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Word, PDF, etc.) and adapt folder structures and workflows to their needs.

After evaluating options, Amtrol‑Alfa migrated to Accruent Meridian in 2005 and integrated it with SolidWorks. Meridian now centralizes regulatory, commercial/procurement and engineering documentation, provides reliable version control, predefined searches and audit-ready records, and has sped up document retrieval and compliance processes—results that have improved performance and supported ongoing plans to expand Meridian use across more departments.
