Infrastructure Ontario is a Crown agency that builds, manages and finances public assets across the province, overseeing a portfolio of more than 1,000 buildings. The agency struggled with fragmented data—thousands of separate Excel files—making it difficult to set priorities and forcing largely reactive, as‑needed repairs.

By implementing VFA.facility, Infrastructure Ontario centralized asset data into a single database, enabling a comprehensive 10‑year capital plan and a rolling three‑year tactical plan for some 15,000 line items. The system improved visibility into asset age, remaining life and condition (aligned with BOMA standards), supported preventive renewals, sped decision‑making and made inspections and project delivery more organized and effective.
