PowerNet Limited, New Zealand’s fourth largest electricity network management company, was struggling with a 25-year-old Microsoft Access drawing system that relied on heavy manual administration, scattered file versions, and poor version control. The outdated process made it hard for staff and external consultants to know which drawings were current and slowed project delivery and field access to updated information.
PowerNet Limited selected Accruent RedEye, a cloud-native engineering document management solution, and worked with Accruent to clean up and migrate historical data, standardize metadata, and set up new workflows. The result was stronger version control, easier collaboration with external contractors, and better delivery timelines; adoption reached about 240 registered users with around 75 active daily users, and data quality improved to a 99% bucket data quality rating while reducing files from 3.4K to 515.
