A Accruent Case Study
London Gatwick Airport, the world’s busiest single‑runway airport serving over 43 million passengers in 2024, faced an asset- and document-management shortfall driven by outdated, unsupported software, siloed working, duplicated data and inconsistent processes. Migrating from legacy systems was complex, uncovering gaps in governance, escalation and collaboration that increased workloads and undermined reporting and project delivery.
Partnering with Accruent and Pentagon Solutions, Gatwick implemented Meridian Vault (on‑premises) as a single source of truth and Meridian Portal (cloud) for supplier and stakeholder exchange, backed by standardized processes, interim escalation routes, regular reviews and a Meridian Champions training program. The change delivered stability and consistent document exchange across projects—about 627,000 documents are now managed in Meridian with ~120 company groups and 250 users—helping deliver major capital works and enforcing mandatory documentation handover before financial closure, with ongoing enhancements planned.
