How ABO Energy Standardized Documentation and Processes Using Meridian

ABO Energy (formerly ABO Wind) is a 30‑year‑old renewables developer and operator active in 16 countries on four continents with about 1,200 employees, working on wind, solar, battery, hydrogen and hybrid projects. Each project produced thousands of disparate documents (emails, contracts, CAD plans, photos, videos, etc.), and the company needed reliable access, accurate versioning and standardized processes across locations with differing legal requirements and inconsistent local procedures.

ABO piloted Meridian EDMS on lighthouse projects and, after a proof‑of‑concept, implemented the configurable system to manage and integrate CAD and other document types and to adapt workflows to local regulations. Using standardized document classes and properties, Meridian eliminated duplicate copies, ensured traceability and version control, and delivered fewer costly errors, faster document searches and improved interdepartmental communication.
