Purdue University, a large research institution with 50,000 students and about 300 reservable spaces, was struggling with a fragmented scheduling process across departments. Before working with Accruent and its EMS scheduling platform, Purdue relied on multiple systems—Delphi, a separate academic scheduling tool, and Outlook—creating clunky reservations, heavy manual work, and no customer-facing way to request space.
Accruent implemented EMS as Purdue’s enterprise scheduling platform, with support for PCI-compliant workflows, centralized reservation management, and automated business rules. The result was a single system for all nonacademic space bookings, a better customer experience with direct online requests, fewer manual approvals and errors, and more accurate reporting and space-use visibility across campus.
