Stanmore Resources’ Journey to Streamlined EDM With RedEye

Stanmore Resources, a leading Australian metallurgical coal producer operating major assets in the Bowen and Surat Basins, faced growing engineering document management (EDM) challenges as it expanded—particularly after acquiring South Walker Creek and Poitrel. Underdeveloped EDM at Isaac Plains, increased engineering assets, underutilized systems, weak metadata and approval processes left engineers and electrical compliance managers struggling to govern documents and workflows across multiple sites.

In 2025 Stanmore migrated all sites to RedEye, deploying advanced search and metadata, automated extraction and uploads, project drawing management with redline tracking, secure online access, customizable workflows and unlimited user access backed by customer success support. The result was a unified EDM system: Isaac Plains was upgraded, key project documentation was consolidated, approvals and retrieval became much faster, engineer–drafter collaboration improved, and regulatory reporting and compliance are now simpler and more reliable.
