SEMITAN operates Nantes’ public transport network across 24 municipalities, managing tram lines, stations, workshops and thousands of technical O&M documents. Before 2019 the company relied on servers, CDs, floppy disks and paper, with multiple unsecured AutoCAD versions and departmental silos that made document retrieval slow and error-prone, leading to version mistakes, costly rework and project delays.

In 2020 SEMITAN deployed Meridian in a phased rollout, integrating with AutoCAD and the CMMS Carl, unifying metadata and importing existing records. Centralized, version-controlled documentation and automated workflows have cut search time, eliminated duplicates and incorrect plans, reduced rework and delays, improved operational responsiveness and safety, and enabled secure, role-based access for internal teams and external contractors.
