Urban Utilities, one of Australia's largest water distributor-retailers, sought to improve the management of hazardous areas and governance by migrating over 900,000 asset drawings and documents from an on-premise system to a centralized, cloud-based solution. They partnered with vendor Accruent to implement its RedEye platform to achieve this digital transformation.

Accruent worked with Urban Utilities to aggregate, validate, and migrate the vast number of documents into the new RedEye system. The solution removed 23% of duplicate content, creating a clean and secure centralized source of truth. This has provided field crews and contractors with easy, secure access to the most current drawings, improving safety and simplifying compliance. The standardized system has also improved automation and integration with the utility's other business applications.
