London Gatwick Airport manages 627,000 documents with Accruent EMS

London Gatwick Airport, one of the world's busiest single-runway airports, faced significant challenges with its outdated asset management framework. Its legacy systems led to siloed work, data duplication, and inconsistent processes, which created inefficiencies and undermined reliability. To modernize its operations, the airport partnered with vendor Accruent to implement a solution using their Meridian software.

Accruent's solution involved deploying Meridian Vault as an on-premises single source of truth and Meridian Portal for cloud-based document exchange with suppliers. This created a standardized, consistent process for managing documents. The results were highly successful, with approximately 627,000 documents now securely managed in the system and about 250 users across 120 company groups. The implementation established a clear, mandatory workflow for all projects, ensuring compliance and significantly improving efficiency and collaboration for London Gatwick Airport.
