Dunea, a Dutch drinking water producer and distributor, faced the challenge of managing engineering information after ownership of documents transferred from its Engineering Department to its Production and Distribution Departments. The company needed to digitize archives, reconfigure workflows, and provide visibility to a growing number of contractors. To address this, Dunea turned to vendor Accruent and its Meridian product for an engineering document management solution.

Accruent implemented Meridian to manage all of Dunea's engineering and technical documentation, integrating it with the Ultimo maintenance system. The solution made over 50,000 documents easily accessible to approximately 170 staff members and external contractors. The results included an optimized change process, streamlined collaboration, and improved project visibility, ensuring a reliable system for maintaining its license to operate.
