COVRA improves asset compliance and document search with Accruent EMS over 100 years of storage

COVRA, the Central Organization for Radioactive Waste in the Netherlands, was legally required under the Dutch Nuclear Energy Act to safely manage its operational assets and engineering data. The organization was using an aging, in-house developed application for this purpose and needed to replace it with standard solutions for maintenance and engineering information management to ensure compliance and efficiency. They turned to vendor Accruent and its product Meridian for engineering document management.

Accruent implemented its Meridian solution to manage engineering information, providing version control for drawings, document classification, and integration with a separate maintenance system. This gave maintenance personnel one-click access to up-to-date technical documentation. The results for COVRA included improved compliance with regulations, increased efficiency through faster document search and retrieval, streamlined engineering activities, and a higher quality of asset information.
