Jenkins Enterprises, a designer, importer, and wholesale distributor of gifts, souvenirs, and licensed collegiate merchandise, needed to replace an unreliable e-commerce system that constantly crashed and required too much maintenance. The company wanted to continue serving customers efficiently while moving beyond an information-only online catalog. AccountMate was the core accounting system, and the project also involved WebStore.
AccountMate, working with Tamlin Software Developers and AppFinity Software, extended Jenkins Enterprises’ AccountMate system with customizable e-commerce and reporting capabilities, special price recall, product photo linking, and integrated online self-service features. The new setup gave salespeople and customers 24/7 access to account information, inventory, and ordering, while reducing catalog production and order-processing costs. According to Jenkins Enterprises, the system paid for itself and increased sales, with the added benefit of being self-maintaining.
