A Accord LMS Case Study
The Committee for Children is a Seattle-based nonprofit that develops social-emotional learning (SEL) materials and the Second Step curriculum used in K–8 schools worldwide. The organization needed an LMS to support online training for teachers and principals but its prior platform was hard to navigate, lacked single sign-on, required frequent password resets, didn’t integrate with their content management system, and couldn’t provide reliable reporting on time spent or content engagement—nor handle the complex, role-based learning paths the organization required.
They selected a self-hosted Accord LMS that integrated with their user data and CMS, delivered Articulate courses, tracked attempts, and built personalized learning paths and certificates via a role/outcome registration wizard, plus robust bulk-import for group enrollments. The result: rapid scale from a 1,000-learner license to 20,000 learners in two years, 100%-accurate time-and-engagement metrics, zero access incidents, higher completion rates, and clearer data to demonstrate program reach and impact.
