Optimising cross-border banking operations with NSG Group

NSG Group, a global glass and glazing manufacturer operating in 30 countries, was struggling with a decentralised treasury setup that relied on multiple banking portals, manual payment uploads, and inconsistent processes across more than 100 subsidiaries. With limited cash visibility and only monthly cash position reporting, the team needed a more efficient, standardised way to manage cross-border banking operations. AccessPay provided the connectivity layer to support this transformation.

AccessPay implemented a phased solution beginning with SWIFT connectivity for treasury payments, then helping NSG build a payment factory connected to SAP S/4HANA for POBO, ROBO, COBO, reconciliation, and later intercompany settlement. The result was a highly automated, bank-agnostic platform covering 17 countries, 48 subsidiaries, and 10 currencies by 2024, processing hundreds of millions of euros and delivering thousands of hours in annual time savings. AccessPay also helped improve controls, reduce bank accounts and portal usage, strengthen cash visibility, and avoid the need for a second SSC building in Poland.
