The State Fair of Texas, a major annual event, sought to modernize its guest experience by shifting from traditional walk-up sales to digital and contactless commerce. Their challenge was to reduce operational strain and entry point congestion while meeting evolving consumer expectations for digital payments and advance purchases. They partnered with vendor Accesso, utilizing the accesso ShoWare platform.

Accesso provided a comprehensive solution that modernized on-site payment terminals to accept EMV, tap-to-pay, and digital wallets, while also enabling advanced bundled ticket and voucher packages and pre-sold parking. The results included an 83% digital wallet adoption rate for on-site orders and 59% for online orders. Additionally, presold parking captured 12.8% of parking revenue in its first year, and 120 seasonal staff were trained, improving operational flow and efficiency.
