Summa Health, a large integrated healthcare delivery system in Ohio with more than 7,000 employees across 30 locations, needed a better way to manage HR documentation across multiple facilities and varying levels of local HR support. Before working with Access, physical files were moved between locations by interoffice mail, which increased the risk of missing files and exposed sensitive employee information to potential privacy issues.
Access implemented CartaHR, a digital HR document management platform, to centralize file storage and make it easier for authorized users to upload, share, and access employee records in real time. The solution reduced the need to transport paper files, improved compliance oversight for certifications and HR documents, and gave Summa Health a more user-friendly, efficient way to manage employee files across locations.
