Wokingham Borough Council’s Shared Legal Services (SLS) needed a secure, cloud-based case management system that staff could access remotely across two authorities. After their in‑house solution and previous provider failed to meet requirements, they selected Access Group’s browser‑based Access Legal case management software following a three‑month assessment to meet their remote‑working and security needs.

Access Group implemented the Access Legal solution in April 2019, delivering top‑level cloud security and simple web access so users can work from anywhere with minimal IT effort. The new system has improved efficiency and recruitment—SLS report easier onboarding, time savings, and the ability to recruit solicitors from beyond the local area (as far as Leicester), boosting productivity and making the shared service more competitive.
