Case Study: AKW achieves streamlined single-map warehousing and reduced picking errors with Access Delta WMS (Access Group)

A Access Group Case Study

Preview of the AKW Case Study

UK Market Leaders In Showering, Daily Living And Kitchen Solutions For Inclusive Living

AKW, the UK market leader in inclusive showering, daily living and kitchen solutions, was outgrowing an in-house CRM-based warehouse system as it expanded to two large warehouses and moved increasingly into retail. Managing picking across separate maps created split orders and extra work while AKW was handling around 450–500 daily picks, so the company engaged Access Group to provide the Access Delta Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet its more complex warehouse-management needs.

Access Group redeployed Access Delta as a single graphical warehouse map linking both sites, added drag-and-drop stock transfers to replace goods-in/goods-out movements, and continues to provide training and technical support (including an upcoming server and database migration). The new Access Delta WMS reduced picking errors, improved stock recording and traceability, and enabled AKW to process more orders more efficiently while maintaining its ~450–500 daily pick rate and raising customer service levels.
