Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution - Customer Case Study

The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI) runs 17 care homes across England and Wales and was struggling with paper-based records, scattered governance and constant compliance demands from the CQC, CSSIW and local health authorities. To improve transparency, standardisation and person‑centred care, the RMBI selected Access Group’s Access Care and Clinical software as a scalable electronic care management solution.

Access Group implemented Access Care and Clinical in a phased roll‑out (nine homes live, with plans to extend to the remaining eight), giving staff wireless access to a single source of resident information, customisable assessment forms, electronic handovers and instant, configurable reporting. The result has been clearer, more detailed and legible records, freed-up staff time at the point of care, faster quarterly reporting and greater visibility for senior and regional management—standardising practice across homes and strengthening corporate governance.
