Davies and Partners Solicitors, a national law firm with 180 staff across four offices, needed to modernise and standardise its IT and case-management systems, migrate a large legacy accounting dataset, and introduce automated client reporting and secure, paperless working to support ambitious growth plans. The firm had already used hosting and reporting services from Access Legal and engaged Access Group (via its Access Legal solution) to deliver a unified, cloud-based legal accounting and case management platform.
Access Group performed full pre-conversion testing, migrated and reconciled the firm’s legacy data, connected previously separate case and accounting files, and implemented a single software platform before moving the entire firm to the cloud. Planned over six months and implemented in four weeks with staff training and DR/business-continuity measures, the solution delivered streamlined digital workflows, stronger data security, flexible remote working, space savings and faster automated reporting—Davies and Partners went live on Access Group’s cloud-based legal accounting package at the start of 2019 and reported reduced disruption and clear efficiency gains for clients and employees.
