LycoRed, a global supplier of vitamin and mineral premixes, faced operational constraints from an inflexible SAP system and time-consuming manual processes that limited control, slowed planning and increased errors. To regain control and support growth, LycoRed replaced SAP with Access Group’s solutions—notably Access Supply Chain (ASC), alongside Access FocalPoint and Access Payroll—to provide a platform better aligned to its manufacturing and formulation needs.

Access Group integrated LycoRed’s formulation database with ASC, automated production planning, reporting and expiry tracking, and introduced FocalPoint workflows for costing. The changes cut lead times to 2–3 weeks (vs. 5–6 weeks), raised on-time-in-full delivery from 95% to almost 98%, eliminated manual recipe keying (saving about 300 minutes a week), reduced planner effort from nearly two days to instant runs, and halved debtor days to under 60 — improvements that have been rolled out to LycoRed’s China and UK sites.
