Loudons, a growing chain of café-restaurants in Edinburgh, was struggling with manual processes — spreadsheets for menu, labour and production costing and paper invoices — which made costing, stock control and visibility across sites slow and error-prone. Using Access Procure Wizard from the Access Group, Loudons deployed modules for purchase-to-pay, menu costing, advanced stock, waste management, tills and scheduling, enabling a central production unit and expansion to multiple sites. The solution cut food cost of sales from 33% to 15%, increased GP by 7% (85% GP average, one unit at 88%), reduced labour costs by 7%, saved about 10 admin hours per week, tightened stock control and automated approvals and ordering.
