The University of Brighton, which runs 16 restaurants and cafés and three halls of residence across five campuses, needed to modernise slow, manual purchasing and invoice processes that obscured spend visibility and wasted staff time. To address this, the university adopted TUCO Online, powered by Access Procure Wizard, through the Access Group to provide a single eProcurement and kitchen management portal for ordering, stock, allergen and nutritional control.
Access Group implemented TUCO Online with a staggered rollout and quick finance integration — the purchase-to-pay system was in place in just over two months and now sends order data into finance overnight. The solution automated invoicing, eliminated manual data entry, allowed multi-supplier ordering and real-time reporting, and helped the University buy smarter across its sites; as a result staff save time, costs and errors have fallen while managers have better control and visibility of purchasing.
