A Access Group Case Study
Hall's Flooring, a family-owned UK distributor of floor coverings founded in 1948 with 91 employees, faced a 20-year-old bespoke Unix system that could no longer support modern sales order processing, purchase ordering, stock and lot control, or the roll-stock handling (sold in square metres) required for planned warehouse automation. To replace the legacy platform and ensure future integration with a specialist warehouse, Hall's selected Access Group and its Access Supply Chain solution to provide flexible order processing, inventory/location control and integration capability.
Access Group implemented the Access Supply Chain suite (core ledgers, sales order processing & invoicing, purchase order processing, stock/location & lot control, BOM, EDI and API) and customised multi-cut entry and roll allocation to preserve batch integrity and drive cutting-table automation. The almost year-long rollout delivered seamless third-party warehouse integration for the 60,000 sq ft facility, faster staff onboarding, automated picking/cutting and packing-note generation, and measurable gains — including an immediate halving of the credit note ratio — transforming Hall's Flooring’s operations and customer service.
