Elizabeth Finn Homes, which runs 10 premium care homes with over 750 staff, was struggling with the administration, inaccuracies and illegibility of paper MAR charts and needed an eMAR that would integrate with its care-planning software. To address this they worked with Access Group, implementing Access Medication Management alongside Access Care & Clinical to modernise medication recording and care information sharing.

Access Group’s Access Medication Management replaced paper MARs with an integrated eMAR that tracks doses, timings, stock levels and links to pharmacies, while dovetailing with Access Care & Clinical. The change significantly reduced staff administration time, supported more person‑focused care and junior staff on meds rounds, simplified handovers and improved accuracy — and contributed to stronger regulator outcomes (two homes rated Outstanding and a third Outstanding in Responsive), with Elizabeth Finn Homes now progressing to a DHSC digital transformation bid.
