Case Study: Birds Solicitors achieves flexible, secure cloud-based remote working with Access Group

A Access Group Case Study

Preview of the Birds Solicitors Case Study

Birds Solicitors work remotely in the Cloud

Birds Solicitors, a criminal law firm established in 2000, needed a secure, flexible way to support consultants who work remotely and to reduce the time and risk of running in‑house IT. They have used Access Group’s crime case management software (Access Legal) from the start and looked to a hosted/cloud solution to provide anywhere access, automatic updates and reliable backup/disaster‑recovery.

Access Group implemented a hosted desktop and managed IT service — including Access Legal with Outlook integration, automatic CDS form completion and tablet access — enabling 10 consultants to work from home, court or conferences with their full caseload online. The cloud service automates CDS6/CDS7 billing and cuts hours of manual input, provides 24/7 access, and removes the need for in‑house backups and business‑continuity overhead, delivering faster workflows and measurable time and cost savings.
