Amfin improve resource planning with new absence management system

Amfin (Abbey Metal Finishing Company Ltd), a specialist in metal finishing founded in 1947, was struggling with a slow, manual holiday and sickness process based on paper forms and spreadsheets that gave managers no visibility of colleagues’ leave and made resource planning inefficient. As an existing user of Access Group’s FactoryMaster MRP, Amfin engaged the Access Group to address these issues and evaluate absence management options, choosing the Access Group’s TeamSeer solution.

The Access Group implemented TeamSeer in around two months, with their account team handling data setup; the system gives staff self-service holiday booking, consolidated holiday and sickness records, and richer reporting. Results include improved forward visibility of leave, reduced reliance on a single approver, low day-to-day maintenance, minimal user issues and generally positive feedback — delivering faster, more accurate resource planning for Amfin.
