A Access Group Case Study
Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Ltd, a £3m spin‑out that machines precision titanium and nickel alloy parts for customers including Rolls‑Royce and Siemens, was under pressure to hit 100% on‑time in‑full (OTIF) after previously averaging 67–70% and relying on siloed Excel sheets. To address this, the company engaged Access Group and adopted Access FactoryMaster MRP together with Access Orchestrate Planning & Scheduling.
Access Group implemented barcode scanning, touch‑screen shopfloor data capture and an integrated link between FactoryMaster and Orchestrate so live machine, job and worker‑time data feed daily production meetings and planning. As a result, AML’s average OTIF rose to 97% (reaching 100% for some customers), forecasting and resource deployment became far more accurate, floor‑to‑desk visibility improved decision‑making, and staff engagement increased.
