A Access Group Case Study
Airport Parking & Hotels (APH), which operates car parks and hotels at Manchester, Birmingham and Gatwick, was using an accounts module bolted onto motor-trade software that left ledgers open to non-finance users, made it impossible to close purchase and sales ledgers independently of the nominal, and forced extensive manual re-keying of invoices. Seeking a straightforward, UK-supported finance solution, APH selected Access Group’s financial management software to provide a “pure” purchase, sales and nominal ledger system with better controls and visibility.
Access Group implemented its finance system (including a Corrections Module and automated invoice imports via Excel) and provided UK-based support and a dedicated account manager to help with Making Tax Digital. The result: full, single-screen visibility of transactions, the ability to close ledgers independently, faster error correction, and major efficiency gains — body shop invoices that once took 20 hours now take about 30 minutes, cutting manual re-keying time by roughly 20 hours a month and freeing up about “half a person” of effort.
