Church Mission Society (CMS), a global Christian mission organisation working in more than 45 countries, was struggling with an ageing finance system. After 10 years on Sage 100 the data was unreliable, fund accounting and reporting were difficult, and the system wouldn’t integrate with Raiser's Edge, leaving staff to rely on manual, paper-based processes. CMS selected Access Group and implemented Access Financials & Access Financials Operations to address these issues.

Access Group’s Access Financials & Access Financials Operations delivered automation, tighter fund accounting and self-service project reporting, saving CMS more than 200 hours a month (about £50k per year). The solution reduced CMS’s nominal codebase from 23,000 to 400, cut back-office admin (50% fewer information requests and nearly 20% reduction in back-office headcount), and enabled 160 mission-partner reports to be produced in five minutes instead of days — all supported by Access Group’s integrated dashboards and document management.
