BrownTrout, a leading calendar publisher producing about 1,800 titles a year, struggled to get accurate product, inventory and multi-currency sales information while relying on Sage and spreadsheets during a very short selling window. To solve these issues they chose Access Group, implementing its finance systems Access Financials and Access Dimensions to give clearer, timely visibility of inventory, orders and customer pricing.
Access Group customised and implemented Access Financials/Dimensions to provide flexible reporting, role-based security, order duplication, multi-currency invoicing and shipment tracking. The system removed the need for temporary staff during peak order entry, made euro invoicing instantaneous (previously up to four hours), allows up to ten shipments per order, improved reporting that cut spreadsheet work, and delivered a measurable 5% improvement in sell-throughs—along with faster order confirmations and better inventory control thanks to Access Group.
