Zions Bank, a financial institution, sought to position itself for the future of mobile payments and banking. To prepare its customers for this future and increase card engagement, the bank partnered with vendor Access Development to create a mobile cash rewards program.

Access Development built and managed the AmaZing Deals mobile app, which provided merchant-funded discounts and cash back rewards. This solution conditioned customers to use their phones for commerce and successfully increased engagement. After a rebranding campaign led by Access Development, monthly app downloads jumped to five times the recent average, and the program saw high adoption rates with 60% of some new customer cohorts receiving a reward.
