Canderm Pharma, a family-owned Canadian dermatological products distributor, was managing its warehouse with a paper-based cardex system and manual Excel reporting. As order volumes grew, the company needed tighter inventory control, real-time warehouse/back-office visibility, and better productivity without adding staff, so it turned to Accellos and its AccellosOne Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Accellos implemented a fully automated, web-enabled WMS with RF handhelds, barcode tracking, and an interface to Canderm Pharma’s Platinum accounting package. The results were immediate: order volume rose 15% without additional staff, order accuracy reached 99%+, picking time dropped by one-third, receiving time fell 25%, return-to-stock time dropped nearly 50%, and monthly inventory reporting time decreased by more than 40%.
