Vodafone New Zealand launches 4 video apps on time with Accedo

Vodafone New Zealand, a leading digital services and connectivity company, needed to integrate multiple local Video On Demand (VOD) partners into its new Gen 2 set-top box platform. Their challenge was to provide subscribers with a wide range of content from services like TVNZ, Neon, ThreeNow, and Play Stuff at launch, while ensuring a seamless and natural viewing experience. They engaged vendor Accedo for its expertise and existing experience with the Vodafone TV platform.

Accedo utilized its software development kits, specifically XDK2 and XDK4, to build and launch the required video applications. Working collaboratively with the VOD partners and Vodafone, Accedo delivered the project on time and within budget. This successful integration allowed the new VOD services to go live simultaneously with the launch of the Gen 2 STB, helping Vodafone New Zealand maintain its consumer appeal with a unified content offering.
