A Accedian Networks Case Study
The Province of Liège, which supports over 4,000 users across roughly 80 sites and dozens of public services, was struggling with frequent user complaints and no clear visibility into network activity at remote sites. Existing tools (What’s Up Gold, Nagios, Wireshark) couldn’t pinpoint causes of slowdowns or answer whether issues were WAN, application, or capacity related, leaving routing and performance problems undiagnosed and unresolved.
By deploying PerformanceVision with local partner abNETWORK, the IT team gained unified diagnostics and continuous monitoring—daily reports that quickly identify whether problems stem from network, server or application issues. The tool exposed root causes (BGP/EIGRP routing, WSUS and backup traffic spikes, DNS failures, cloud routing “ping‑pong”), enabled configuration fixes and design improvements, sped incident resolution, and positioned the Province to scale Wi‑Fi/BYOD services while maintaining reliable performance.
