University of Oklahoma - Customer Case Study

The University of Oklahoma faced a decentralized scholarship process across 15 colleges, with 152 majors using a mix of paper and online applications. This made it difficult for students to find and apply for scholarships and limited the scholarship office’s visibility into awards campus-wide. AcademicWorks helped the university centralize the process while still allowing each college to keep its own unique application questions and award decisions.

AcademicWorks implemented an online scholarship system with conditional applications and data imports from the student information system, giving OU both flexibility and centralized oversight. The result was a faster, easier application experience for students and better management for staff; within four hours of launch, more than 3,000 applications were submitted.
