Orange County Community Foundation, serving Orange County Community College and its 25,000 students, needed a more efficient and user-friendly scholarship management system than its previous platform. Before working with AcademicWorks, the old system increased applications but required heavy IT support and was difficult for students, staff, and reviewers to use.

AcademicWorks implemented its scholarship platform in September 2011 and provided a smooth rollout with an implementation plan, timeline, and automated student data import from Banner by Ellucian. The result was a simpler, more manageable process that increased scholarship applications from about 400 to 700 in the first year and reduced processing time and overtime hours.
