SafeCare BC Uses Blended Learning LMS to Reach Dispersed Learners

SafeCare BC is an industry-funded non-profit that provides safety and clinical training for long-term care and home support workers across British Columbia. With only in-person, 8-hour courses and a small staff, the association struggled to reach geographically dispersed, shift-working learners and spent excessive time on manual registration and certification tasks.

They implemented Absorb LMS (with eCommerce and Zoom integration) to deliver mobile-friendly, blended and microlearning options and automate learner management. Launched just before the pandemic, SafeCare BC quickly published short COVID‑related modules, ran 24 webinars, and registered nearly 2,500 new learners in one year (500% over target), while administrators gained automated reporting and reduced manual workload.
