Case Study: Scottish Autism achieves more personalized, inclusive learning with Absorb LMS

Scottish Autism launches an innovative learning platform to incorporate the lived experience of supported people

Scottish Autism, a nonprofit and the largest provider of autism-specific services in Scotland, needed a more flexible, personalized, and scalable way to deliver training that reflected the lived experience of the autistic people it supports. Traditional methods couldn’t provide the level of customization, engagement, or co-production required, so the organization turned to Absorb LMS, along with Absorb Create and Absorb Engage, to build a more individual-led learning approach.

Using Absorb LMS, Scottish Autism launched a co-created learning platform with bespoke courses, strong access controls for confidentiality, and interactive features to support participation. The results included a 96% staff agreement that the organization fosters a culture of continuous learning, reduced staff turnover, lower costs from fewer repetitive induction sessions and less manual tracking, and a stronger position as a sector leader in neuro-affirming practice.
