A Absolute Software Case Study
Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), the third-largest school division in Virginia serving over 78,000 students across 89 facilities, moved from classroom desktops to tens of thousands of laptops to enable personalized learning and greater teacher mobility. To get board approval for the program they needed proof of on- and off-network device utilization, and they were also concerned about the greater theft and security risk that comes with portable devices.
Absolute provided immediate, quantitative utilization reports that helped secure the budget and has been embedded in LCPS laptop images via Dell to enable tracking, remote management, automated anomaly alerts, and coordinated theft recovery with Absolute’s investigations team and law enforcement. The result: increased productivity and flexibility for teachers and students, four consecutive years of approved device refresh funding, and reduced risk with stronger security, privacy and peace of mind.
