Independent Garage Association launches Trust My Garage in 2015 with Absolute Design

Absolute Design was engaged by the Independent Garage Association (IGA), the UK's largest representative body for independent garages, to revamp their B2C sister website. The challenge was to create a site featuring a network of quality garages searchable by potential customers, which also needed to integrate with a third-party Car Repair Plan (CRP) website to create a unified service and streamline data and review processes.

The solution implemented by Absolute Design used October CMS, built on the Laravel framework, for maximum control. They integrated the sites via AJAX requests, wrote scripts for seamless data import/export of garage members, and utilized AJAX throughout to create a web app-like experience with fewer page refreshes. This provided a unified backend for easy administration and delivered a heightened user experience for customers seeking reputable garages.
